About the specialists

Within our directory, we distinguish three categories of associates, each with its uniqueness and contribution to our community. To help you better understand these differences and find what you are looking for, we will explain in detail what characterizes each of the categories.


General Associate
 

Professional and/or optometrist interested or connected with Developmental Optometry, Vision Therapy and Rehabilitation, and in supporting SIODERV.

  • Participation in the SIODERV community, contributing to the dissemination and support of Developmental Optometry, Vision Therapy and Rehabilitation. 
  • If you are an optometrist, you can embark on the educational journey within SIODERV and contribute, alongside professionals from various fields, to the enrichment of the community and the improvement of patients' quality of life.
Clinical Associate
 

Optometrist endorsed by SIODERV, who has successfully presented a clinical case, and holds the Clinical Associate seal.

  • Optometrist who has demonstrated training and experience in Developmental Optometry, Vision Therapy and Rehabilitation.
  • SIODERV Clinical Partner Seal, a recognition of your training, experience, and commitment to excellence. 
  • Advances in the educational journey with the endorsement of their experience and clinical training, contributing to the professional development of others and to the improvement of patients' quality of life.
Fellow
 

Distinguished optometrist with advanced competencies in visual development, binocular vision, visual information processing, and vision therapy, recognized with the highest professional excellence seal FSIODEC.

  • Optometrist with advanced competencies in specific areas, meeting training and experience requirements that exceed those of the Clinical Associate. 
  • FSIODERV Seal, the highest recognition of professional excellence in the field, symbolizing leadership and advanced specialization. 
  • Lead in areas of expertise, contribute significantly to the development and teaching within SIODERV, and be a reference in the community.
