The 5th International Congress of SIODEC, will host Behavioral Optometrists and professionals from related fields from all over the world. In addition, the Congress will be a pioneering effort to offer presentations on vision and behavior in both Castilian Spanish and English.
SIODEC (the International Society for Developmental and Behavioral Optometry) has extended the deadline for submitting proposals for Congress Presentations and Posters for the next Congress to be held May 18-20, 2017 at the Hotel Beatriz in Toledo, Spain. Tuesday November 15, 2016 is the last day to submit a proposal to the following email: email@example.com.
Open Congress Presentations
The content of these works, which must be original and not have been previously presented or published, can range from research findings, case studies or diagnostic techniques, innovative procedures, or bibliographic topics of interest.
Proposals should be sent to the following email address: firstname.lastname@example.org.
The presentations will be to the full Congress assembly during the afternoon session on Friday, May 19, 2017 (see the Congress Preliminary Program).
Each presentation shouldbe no more than 20 minutes. In addition, a summary of the presentationmust have previously been accepted by the Scientific Committee and will be included in the printed handouts of the Congress. Each author can givea maximum of two presentations and it may be presented either in Castilian Spanish or English. See Requirements and Criteria.
Graphic works accepted by the Scientific Committee will be visually displayed during the Congress and must measure 1.20 x 80 cm. Each author can submit a maximum of two posters, and the author may distribute versions of the poster in DINA 4 or similar size to attendees visiting the Exhibition area of the Congress. These materials may be presented in either Castilian Spanish or English. See Requirements and Criteria.
Selection criteria and discounts**
Open Congress Presentations and the Posters will be selected and approved by a Scientific Committee, which is responsible for assessing the type of subject and scientific and clinical quality and can arouse the interest among those attending the Congress. Participants will be notified regarding acceptance or rejection of their applications on Wednesday, November 30, 2016.
Presenters of Open Congress presentations and Posters will receive a 20% discount on the total registration fee for the Congress. This does not include transportation to and from Toledo nor registration for the Pre-Congress Course (which will be held May 17 and 18).
